X-rays are a common imaging tool used to examine the internal organs and internal systems of your pet. Our practices are equipped with advanced digital radiology technology that enables us to find foreign objects, diagnose fractures and joint abnormalities, screen for abnormalities in the internal organs (such as cancer), and perform dental X-rays.
Allergy Testing & Medications

What is a Pet Ultrasound?
A pet ultrasound is a painless, non-invasive diagnostic tool that uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images of the internal organs and soft tissues. Unlike X-rays, which are best for viewing bones, ultrasounds provide a detailed look at soft tissues, helping us detect abnormalities in the abdomen, heart, and other internal structures.
During an animal ultrasound:
- A small probe is gently placed on the pet’s skin.
- Sound waves bounce off internal organs, creating a live image on a monitor.
- Our veterinarians analyze the images in real-time to check for irregularities, growths, or fluid buildup.
Ultrasound is completely safe and does not involve radiation, making it an excellent diagnostic tool for pets of all ages.
